I was perusing the web, as I usually do everyday, and found this new sharepoint hosting service. Turns out, they’re not so new and have been around for a while.
If you’re not familiar with Sharepoint, here’s a little excerpt from WIKI:
SharePoint is a web-based collaboration and document management platform from Microsoft. It can be used to host web sites that access shared workspaces and documents, as well as specialized applications like wikis and blogs from a browser. SharePoint does not intend to replace an entire file server (e.g., an imposed 2 gigabyte file size limitation). SharePoint functionality is exposed as web parts, such as a task list or discussion pane. These web parts are composed into web pages, which are then hosted in the SharePoint portal. SharePoint sites are actually ASP.NET 2.0 applications, which are served using IIS and use a SQL Server database as data storage backend.
In today’s web hosting industry it’s hard to distinguish between the inferior and the worthy web hosting companies, because the inferior ones are using different ways to cover up their lapses. Obviously, all they really want to do is make sales. So, instead of finding ways to improve their services, they simply snare more careless and unaware buyers by calling their ”ordinary sapphires, real diamonds” and luring them with unrealistic freebies.
This four basic things will serve as the yardsticks with which you can gauge their worthinesses and help you to differentiate between those in the industry to set higher standard, satisfy their customers with innovation and renovation of trends and those in there to do the opposite.
Running an online business is a great way to increase your income and work from home, and there is no better time than now to start building your online store. It used to be that building a store and getting started online took a lot of time, money and knowledge. With Yahoo Merchant, you can run a professional online store for as little as $39.95 monthly, and set up your own store with no knowledge of web design or programming.
An Internet hosting provider “offers accessibility and maintenance of disk space on which an Internet website is located”. It is true that there are a lot of hosting companies that offer unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth for a very cheap price. But is it important to look for a success guarantee? Coaching? Free tools?
When you go surfing on the net to look for an Internet hosting provider what you might want to do is check if they offer you a success guarantee. But how will you know if they do? Well if they offer you one-one-one coaching, free tools and resources, and a process that has been proven to work, then this company doesn’t just want your money it wants you to succeed.
SDSL Broadband (known as; Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) can provide you with high speed internet access over ordinary copper telephone wires. It is primarily used by small to medium businesses. These broadband connections allow an equal download and upload speed. For many small business and at home workers this type of broadband offers a convenient, affordable replacement for ADSL and still falls under the price margin of a T1 connection.
This was a good video and really shows the truth about web hosting “review” sites. Most of them don’t really review at all. They provide affiliate links or take direct compensation for listing there site at the top of the list. A real review site would actually…um…REVIEW the hosting company. I could see them providing an affiliate link at the end, but I would want to see PRO’s and CON’s to each review.
With a website and an affordable web hosting service you know you could conquer the world, right? So now you are shopping for a web hosting service. But searching around, you are overwhelmed by a veritable onslaught of web hosting companies and web hosting packages. The CIA says that there are over 100 million web hosting services in the United States alone and even if they are not all public web hosting providers, if you are shopping and searching, it feels that way.
If you are a software developer or a freelance consultant or an affiliate marketer, it has become compulsory for everybody to own a professional website in order to promote your products and services properly to the millions of online users.
Generally a web hosting package consists of the web space, e-mail accounts, database, scripting, shopping carts etc.
If you search through Google for a web hosting service, you will find too many companies providing this service with attractive packages and facilities. It becomes difficult to choose any one as each company claims as their web hosting package as the best and economical.
In this article, we shall discuss key points which will help you choosing the correct web hosting service.
Bandwidth is a word that gets thrown around a lot on the Internet, and especially when it comes to web hosting and choosing the right one for you. So how does this whole bandwidth thing work, and how much do you need when it comes to choosing a web hosting package that suits your needs? Those are the main topics that I will discuss in this article. Different people have different needs, so it is important to know exactly what yours are.
There’s a large supply of hosting companies on the Internet just waiting for your business to come their way. A lot of them will be alike, offering the same or very similar hosting packages at several different prices. The services they offer may sound enticing and “just what you wanted,” but one service you just have to put both your eyes on is the amount of disk space that will be available to you on your host’s server.
This space has to be large enough to hold your data, photos and graphics, web site files, databases, ebooks, articles, blogs and anything else you might want to include. You certainly have to think about some of the space requirements you will need for the online projects and processes you will have on your website. If you choose way more disk space than you need, you will be throwing money in the waste basket. Not enough disk space will not run your processes adequately and might even cause your site to stop working and be unavailable to your customers.
