Be Careful Using Paypal

March 5th, 2008 by Kristina Choi · No Comments

If you are running a web hosting company, you’re probably going to want to use Paypal to accept your customers’ monthly subscription payments.  Yet, according to experienced Internet marketers on Warrior Forum, there have been a lot of problems with the payment processor.  Throughout my time there I have seen stories of four respected members get their accounts frozen and permanently disabled for making money.  That’s right… if people make too much money too quickly, they could get flagged by Paypal’s security.  And if Paypal thinks there is a problem, they will terminate the account.

Granted, one could argue that there are hundreds of thousands of web hosting companies and Internet marketers using Paypal without any problem.  But the number of complaints are getting high enough that there should still be concern… and it’s not just on Warrior Forum.  There are a number of websites discussing how Paypal has wronged them.

AlertPay and E-Gold are two examples of Paypal alternatives web hosting companies can use for their subscription payments.  Dozens more can be found with a thorough Internet search.  These payment processors are not as popular as Paypal, but they do not have the negativity either.
